Peer to Peer Support

Our peer to peer support connects individuals to volunteers who have been in a similar situation. For example, a parent of an adult child with the illness would be connected with one of our members who is a parent of an adult child with the illness.

Many people who make use of this service experience profound relief simply having their experience validated. In MassME they find a knowledgeable, compassionate, and welcoming community; the experience often leads them to become members of the Association. As with all our services, however, membership is not required.

“Thanks very much for your support. I felt better just talking with you. And I have great news – I just got an appointment with xxx for Nov. 3rd! I’m very excited.  I can’t wait to talk again.
With gratitude for your efforts and for MassME”
