Sunday Conversations – December 2026
“When Chronic Illness Takes Over Your Life: How to Start Living Again”
Sunday, November 15, 2026, 4:00pm Eastern Time
Melanie Wolf, RN
Melanie Wolf, RN, BSN, is an RN with more than 20 years of experience. In the course of her nursing career, Ms. Wolf fiercely advocated for others witnessing first-hand that often patients struggled to be heard. She considered herself to be active, capable and thriving. Then, she unexpectedly found herself on the other side of healthcare when she developed chronic illnesses, including Long COVID and MCAS.
This profoundly changed her perspective on what it means to live with chronic illness — not only physically, but also how much of our thoughts, routines, identity, and everyday life can begin revolving around being sick. During her journey searching for relief, Ms. Wolf found the more her nervous system was overwhelmed and dysregulated, the harder her symptoms were to control.
In response, she developed practical tools to decrease nervous system overwhelm and dysregulation. Ms. Wolf focuses on increasing nervous system capacity, emotional resilience, clarity and calm. She considers her work to be an adjunct tool buttressing the scope and effectiveness of traditional medical treatments.
In addition to her 20+ years of RN work and her own chronic illness experience, Ms. Wolf has several specialized professional trainings and certifications:
- Certified Yoga Teacher (25+ years)
- Certified Wim Hof Method Instructor
- Shinrin-Yoku Forest Bathing Guide
- Institute for Integrative Nutrition Health Coach
Ms. Wolf is excited to offer her presentation called: “When Chronic Illness Takes Over Your Life: How to Start Living Again.” For more information on her work, you can visit her website (www.regulatewithmelanie.com).
